Crews accidentally cut fiber optic cables and copper wire Friday, Oct. 5, making a big mess for Frontier Communications, and leaving thousands without phones or Internet.

The scene at Yeager Road and Cumberland Avenue in West Lafayette is messy this week. Crews working on the roundabout pulled out roughly 200 feet of fiber optic cable, knocking out thousands of residents' communication.
